Welcome to Growing Friends Child Care and Preschool Program! We are a fully licensed

center located within Winterstown United Methodist Church and have been in operation over 26 years now.

We are a nonprofit organization, so we have a variety of fundraisers throughout the year. We

greatly appreciate your help through our fundraisers as we strive to do as much as possible here

for the children and staff to continue our small business! Abby Streett and Danielle Orwig are

the center’s directors. Our mission is to provide children with a loving atmosphere that will help

them grow both socially and academically.

The center is open Monday through Friday from 6AM to 6PM. We are closed on major

holidays. The center enrolls children 6 weeks of age through 6 th grade. Growing Friends offers

full time care for all ages and part time care and hourly as needed for our school age children.

During the school year, we have a 3’s Preschool Program that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays

from 9AM to 11:30AM. Our 4’s Preschool Program meets Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays

from 9AM to 11:30AM. We purchased a van, and we transport to Stewartstown Elementary

daily. During the summer we run a summer camp where the children do a variety of activities.

Mondays the children go bowling, Tuesdays our younger children have water day, Wednesdays

the children go on a field trip (such as REVS, Zoo, Factories, Lakes, etc.) or we have a center

activity here. Thursdays the older children swim at Green Valley Pool. Then we conclude our

summer camp week with a whole center picnic on Fridays out at our pavilion.

At this time, we do have a very full center, and have cut off our waiting list because it is

so lengthy but if you’re interested in employment opportunities, please feel free to email/call

us! We will start enrolling for our preschool program come March of the new year for the

upcoming school year!
